OVER A DECADE
OF SUCCESS
For almost a
decade, EANDC has made an impact on the citizens in Alliance,
Ohio; as well as, the surrounding service area. From
developing dreams of homeownership and comprehensive housing
counseling to managing rental property, due to the
collaborated efforts of federal, state, and local governments,
EANDC is now considered a leader in the housing arena.
EANDC has
expanded its operational capacity with the assistance of a
Technical Assistance grant from the United States Department
of Agriculture Rural Development (USDA RD) that will assist in
the construction of twelve (12) units of single family housing
which is scheduled to be completed by 2007.
Sustaining the Vision
At long last,
EANDC has begun the Knoll Hill Country Village project. It
takes great tenacity and passion to stay the course, but God
had already prepared the way. This particular project
reflects the agency’s commitment to expanding the body of
knowledge and support about African American
Entrepreneurship. More importantly, stated Dr. West, it sets
the stage for the development of strategies for using
entrepreneurship as a vehicle for teaching the educationally
challenged.
The Knoll Hill
Country Village project has been a primary goal in providing
housing opportunities in rural America through the United
States Department of Agriculture Rural Development (USDA-RD)
agency. Some recent activities are captured in the news clips
below.
